Back to Black (and Pink)

My house & blog have now had all traces of Christmas decorations removed from them. I love the season and the Reason for the season, but it is always nice to have things looking "normal" again.

New Profile Pic

I had grown very tired of my old profile pic so I snapped about 30 or so self-portraits a few days ago. The best shot has replaced my old one. Here it is a bit larger, but not so large it will scare you away...lol!!

New "I Adore"

I have added another blog to my Blogs I Adore list in my side bar. Lisa from Coastal Nest is a fun lady with a GREAT talent for decorating. I want to move into her house!! :)

New Look

My new look is really an old look! I have revived my blog look from last winter, but with different font colors. The header has 2007 because that is when it was created. I am not confused about the year...lol!! I don't want to add my ancient photo editing program to my computer now, and have yet to pick up a newer version. Photo editing is not at the top of my list of priorities right now. Gifts to buy, gifts to wrap, cards to write and mail out, etc are priorities.

I think I have fixed the issue with a portion of the header disappearing in IE after scrolling to the bottom of the page and then back to the top.

Oh No!

I just realized my blog's dressed for fall & it's now time for winter! I will change my look in the next few days!

Fall Look

I did a little housekeeping and got my blog ready for fall. I still have a few tweaks left, but it is mostly complete!

I used a Shabby Princess digital scrapbooking kit for my banner & background once again. I don't have the name of the kit easily accessible right now, but will give credit and include the name on my sidebar.

Editing to say: Complete other than the strange phenomenon of half my header disappearing when I scroll back to the top of my page in IE. Things that make you go hmmm. If you use IE, don't scroll up to the top of the page after scrolling down, and that will solve it...LOL!!

I will look into this when I have a little more time.

Spring Spruce Up

I decided to do a little sprucing up around my blog today. I know it's the best spring or summer look, but I LOVE plaid and like the colors. Don't know how long I will keep it around, but it's here for now! :)

My new look actually reminds me of a Bob & Olivia go shopping story. It was either right before or right after Olivia's sixth birthday. Bob & Olivia were out running some errands. I think they had gotten an oil change on my car, and there is a Kohl's nearby the oil change place. Bob asked Olivia if she wanted to go shopping. (Silly question to ask a girl...LOL!!) They ended up shoe shopping for Olivia. Her tennis shoes were getting too small so Bob decided to help her find a new pair. He was thinking spring colors since the nice weather was just upon us. He was looking at different styles of white shoes with pink or purple on them. Much to Bob's dismay, Olivia fell in love with a pair of gray shoes with purple stripes. Olivia won and got the gray shoes, but for weeks when he would see her wearing them he would say, "nothing says spring like gray!!" Nine years later we all still say it.

New Look

My new banner is complete. I will be tweaking the colors of the titles, text, links, etc, but my new look is basically complete.

The images in the banner were taken by me in our yard last summer. I chose the colors because Valentine's Day will be here soon and the rose shots because it's bitterly cold here today.

Coming Soon

I realized this morning that my blog is still dressed for Christmas while my house is not. So it's time to come up with a new look.

New Look

I spent a little time last night and this morning creating a new look for my blog. Yes, I am fickle when it comes to my blog colors and tire of looks quickly! I lost some features from my sidebars and need to tweak a couple things like font color and that dumb scroll bar at the bottom. However, it's pretty much the way it will look! I love it, but who knows how long it will last...lol!

New Feature

I have added a new feature to my blog that will hopefully bring me more traffic. If you are looking for more/new blog visitors considering checking out BlogRush. It is, of course, free.

Now you are probably wondering why I would want more traffic! I am considering trying my hand at a new hobby & opening an etsy shop to sell my wares! It probably won't be for a month or so because I have a to-do list that needs to be a ta-da list before I start something else! I will post more details as time gets closer!

Playin' with Blogger

I spent a little time working on my blog layout today. I have been wanting a three column template for sometime and was finally able to locate one. It just happened to be a modified version of the template I was already using. What are the odds? All it required was a little resize to my banner. I also added a footer -- it's just a band of "paper" from the same kit I used from my banner.

Label Cloud

Yeah, I was finally able to locate a site with instructions and/or links for instructions to tweak my blog! I added a label cloud to the side bar today. I like the way it looks and it makes it easier for readers to find topics they are interested in reading.

Slave to Target will be removed from my sidebar since it is not going to be around any longer. I enjoyed visiting Slave to Target and sharing Red Cart Romance with my fellow Target lovers. STT you will be missed!

Finally Finished

I think I have finally finished adding all the labels to my blog entries from before I switched to the new blogger. What a job! My favorite no doubt is photos!

I will have to double check, but I need a break from adding and looking for missing labels right now...lol!

ETA: Ooops, I completely missed October, but WILL finish those this week!

Festival Graphics

I told you I would be rolling out a new look in a very short time. While this one isn't as springy as the last look, I like it a little better. I think the colors of my last look were a little too sweet. If that makes any sense at all...lol!

Spring Breeze Graphics

The graphics I used for my new look are from shabbyprincess.com. Their designers are awesome!! I love visiting their site, but I have now found a set I like a better than this one. I may be rolling out another new look in a VERY short time!
