Steve Carell's character, Michael Scott, is nuts. Sometimes the things he says are just so wrong it makes them funny. Here's one of my favorites: "This is our receptionist, Pam. . . . If you think she's cute now, you should have seen her a couple years ago.

Did Bob ever see the original UK Office series?
He hasn't seen the original, but has read about the parallels between it and this one so far. :)
The UK version was how I came to know The Office. It's very funny, BUT some of the material was a bit too raw for my taste.
When they announced it was being done here, I watched part of the first episode and thought it just didn't stack up to the UK original. In time though, I think they've gotten it right. An Emmy means something! LOL
I haven't seen many of the US version after that first episode, but the parts I have seen in clips were pretty good.
It is good, but at times things said especially by Michael are just so wrong. I guess that's part of the shows charm.
Oh yeah, that's definitely the name of the game. Mr. Boss thinks he is SO PC, and in reality he is the opposite, LOL
