Finally!

I have been hoping Olivia would get interested in some sort of activity at school, but I didn't want to push her into anything she didn't really enjoy -- like sports. A couple of her friends joined the stage crew for the school & community plays, and she decided she wanted to join as well.

Last night was her first night & she already had paint on one of the pockets of her jeans. Luckily, I was able to get most of the paint out. What didn't come out isn't noticeable so the jeans weren't a complete loss. Today she brought a change of clothes -- without being told.

I know I have mentioned in the past that she would struggle with getting assignments in on time and being prepared for tests. I am happy to say so far this year she is doing really well. She hasn't missed an assignment and most of her test grades are really good. There were a couple pop quizzes that should have been better, but her overall her grades are WAY above where they would have been in that past at this point in the year. We are so proud of her.

I guess she has finally learned from all the years of mom & dad nagging talking with her!

Parental Consistency pays off!

I'm so glad she has found something she is "into"! And awesome job on the assignments and grades!

Isn't it great when they just go ahead and do their homework and you can stop nagging. I never know what my girls are doing until they bring home their report cards. I sure don't miss doing the multiplication tables or counting money. LOL

LOL...Diane! I don't miss those things either.

Fortunately, we are able to track Olivia's grades online. We basically see the teachers grade book. The parents love it; obviously the kids hate it...lol!
